Help Me Print is a manual duplex printing assistant made by Easure. It works on your own computer or iPad. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or crash-reporting code in the app.

What never leaves your device

What is sent to the Easure printer-profile service

To find out how a printer handles the second pass, the app talks to easure-duplexprint-api.azurewebsites.net, hosted by Microsoft Azure. Only two kinds of request exist:

  1. Profile lookup. When the app lists your printers, it sends each printer's manufacturer and model name (for example "Brother HL-L2350DW") to ask whether a shared profile exists. Nothing else is in the request.
  2. Profile submission. Only when you train a printer, the app sends that printer's manufacturer and model together with the duplex settings you measured: which side prints face up, page parity and order for each pass, and the reload method. It also sends a confidence score and a timestamp.

A profile describes a printer model. It is not linked to you, your device or your documents, and the app sends no account or device identifier with it.

Technical data your connection carries

Like any web request, yours reaches the service with your IP address. The service uses it only to rate-limit abusive clients, and keeps it in memory for that purpose; it is not written to the profile database. Microsoft Azure, our hosting provider, may keep standard infrastructure logs for its own operation; see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

What we do with it

Submitted settings are compared with other submissions for the same printer model. After enough devices report identical settings, the profile becomes a confirmed shared profile that other people can use. Profiles are stored until we remove them; because they contain no personal data, there is nothing to attach to you.

We do not sell data, share it for advertising, or combine it with other sources.

Local storage

Profiles you have trained or downloaded are kept in the app's own data folder on your device. Uninstalling the app removes them.

Your choices

Children

The app is not directed to children and collects no personal data from anyone.
